Reports Now the Primary Reporting Solution for Cloud EPM

Going forward, Reports is the standard reporting tool for Cloud EPM, and customers are encouraged to leverage its enhanced features and capabilities.

Business Benefit: Reports is the next generation report authoring solution that provides expanded features and functionality.

GK’s View: Reports is a modern tool suitable for the Oracle EPM Cloud platform

Use Groovy to Create an EXCEL file or a ZIP file

You can now use Groovy to create an Excel workbook that is sent to the Inbox/Outbox. You can create sheets, add rows, and save or write the workbook to a file.

You can now use Groovy to create a ZIP file that is sent to the Inbox/Outbox.

Business Benefit: Using Groovy allows you to automate the creation of Excel workbooks and ZIP files.

GK View: Groovy (Java) is an essential tool for automating processes within the EPM platform, only available with an enterprise selection.

Upcoming Changes on Reports and Forms

Oracle Financial Reporting

  • Starting in this update, Oracle Financial Reporting is now de-supported. All Financial Reporting Reports need to be migrated to Reports, there is a presentation, an event recording, and an FAQ sheet accessible.

Forms 1.0 and Dashboards 1.0

  • Starting with the October 2025 (25.10) update, Oracle plans to de-support Forms 1.0 and Dashboards 1.0. Customers are advised to change application settings from 1.0 to 2.0 and convert their dashboards from 1.0 to 2.0 as soon as possible.

Business Benefit: Oracle released Forms 2.0 within Dashboard 2.0 in 2023 as the enhanced version of the legacy Form 1.0 and Dashboard 1.0. Since its release, we have made significant incremental improvements to Forms 2.0 and Dashboards 2.0 based on feedback from various users across the globe and over time have seen a steady increase in the adoption for 2.0.

GK’s View: Financial Reporting Reports and Forms 1.0 / Dashboards 2.0 are old technology and there are now more modern solution in the Oracle EPM platform. Please be aware that action is needed to migrate objects and we are happy to assist you with the process.

Summary

June’s update is all about moving forward: Oracle is shifting fully to modern tools within Cloud EPM. “Reports” is now the go-to reporting solution, while Groovy scripting enables even more automation. If you’re still using legacy tools like Financial Reporting or Forms 1.0, now is the time to plan your migration-and GK is here to help.
